Dear
Instructors and Colleagues in Taekwon-Do,
With the World
Junior and Senior Championships fast approaching, the CTFI is looking for
senior black belts interested in Officiating at this prestigious event. As
this championship will be hosted here in beautiful Canada. The CTFI would
really like to show the world our professionalism, and skill level, not only
in the ring as athletes, but in the event as officials.
Canada has the
unique opportunity to field a minimum of 10 officials for this exciting
event. We have the opportunity this year to leave our own legacy on
competition within the ITF. Now is the time to become a part of this
future.
We are
currently accepting applications for interested parties to become members of
our officiating team. If you are interesting in officiating at this years
world championships in Quebec City, please fill out the attached form and
return at to Mr. Kurt Ottesen. As the due date for applications is this
weekend, I would ask your co-operation in returning your application ASAP.
To date, we
have received interest from the following parties (in no particular order):
Mr. Ken
MacKenzie, Mr. Mike Morningstar, Ms. Rebecca Montano, Mr. Rocha Saucy, Mr.
Alexander Michaud, Mr. Christian Boucher, Sylvain Baudette, Kevin Rienelt,
Rod Johnson, Scott Downey, Rick Winsor.
I would ask
that these individuals if still interested fill out the
attached
registration form and returning it to Mr. Kurt Ottesen ASAP.
CTFI will be
hosting an Officials Training seminar near the end of April (Date to be
confirmed) for all those wishing to officiate at the world championships.
This will be a two day training workshop covering all aspects of officiating
including Corner Officials, Referees, Jury Assistants, Jury Presidents,
Administration and paperwork, working with the Tournament Committee and
such. This workshop will be mandatory for any persons wishing to Officiate
at the Worlds.
On behalf of

opportunity and invite all our senior black belts (4th Dan and higher) to
apply for this opportunity.
