Dear CTFI Members,

The Conservative Federal Government announced a Tax Credit for Child Fitness in their fall 2006 budget.  The tax credit is meant to encourage parents to enroll their children in programs that will improve their fitness and activity levels.

On your behalf, CTFI submitted a recommendation in September/06 to the expert panel deciding on activities that qualify for the program.  We fully expect that our Taekwon-Do programs will be eligible for this tax credit.  The program is supposed to come into effect as of January 1, 2007.  We recommend that you be ready to issue any required tuition receipts to your parents as you get closer to the end of the 2007 tax year.
