CANADIAN NATIONAL TAEKWON-DO CHAMPIONSHIP
GRANDE PRIARIE, ALBERTA
NOVEMBER 16TH ND 17TH

Dear CTFI Members,

On behalf of the Canadian Taekwon-Do Federation International, I would like to congratulate Mr. Darryl Rassmussen and his organization committee on a Championship well done. The event started on time Friday evening and restarted Saturday morning. The Championship wrapped up around 4:30 Saturday afternoon.

Even though this event was not one of our larger Nationals, it was still represented by seven Provinces along with three Master Instructors. The CTFI implemented a new Tournament and Selection Manual where the top athlete’s points will be posted on the CTFI website and updated after each CTFI sanctioned event. All athletes will be able to see their standing at a Canadian level. I would like to thank Mr. MacKenzie CTFI Director of Tournaments for his hard work developing this manual.

I would also like to thank Mr. Ottesen CTFI Director of Umpires for his excellent job during the Nationals. Mr. Ottesen also conducted an Umpire and Judges course prior to the event where class “C” and class “B” judges were produced.

The CTFI held a Director meeting to discuss where and when the next sanctioned events will be held in Canada along with a new Colour Belt Tournament Rules and Regulation Manual.

The overall feeling of the Championship was of friendship and respect for each other. It was a pleasure to be at an event where all instructors and athletes worked together making it a great success.

Yours in Taekwon-Do,
Master C. Norman
President
